About Voltaire Lab

Urtzi Urkixo, graphic designer and printmaker based in Berlin

He graduated with honours from the Fine Arts Faculty of the Basque Country and continued on to study editorial design and printing techniques. In recent years, he has been able to develop his artistic projects in various institutions in Spain and Germany, such as Bilbao Arte Foundation, CIEC International Printmaking School, Alfara Gráfica and Druckwerkstatt Bethanien Berlin. He also worked hand to hand with ESDIP Berlin for Bauhaus Archiv Berlin during Christmas 2019.

At the moment, Urtzi is developing his editorial company, Voltaire Lab, which combines his carreer as graphic artist and editor, producing designs and fine art prints for multiple international designers and artists.

With the idea of representating the connections and relations between human beings and citizens, he often uses edited photographs to print on diverse surfaces such as paper, plywood and fabric. instagram.com/uurkixoPrint with Voltaire Lab
